How Many Sentences in an Essay

There are no set rules and regulations that state how many sentences should be written in an essay. It entirely depends on one’s writing style as well as the number of words. For instance, if you are writing a 100-word essay, you might want to divide it into two short paragraphs, with nearly 10-12 lines. A lot of people focus on writing short lines and use user-friendly vocabulary. It is because they want to give their essays a flawless look and that’s possible only when they use simple words and phrases and avoid complicating the stuff. As a basic rule, however, you should first describe what you are going to discuss. That can be done in a couple of lines, and then you can come to the main point and support your arguments with the help of examples.

You should make sure that your essay’s flow is not disturbed due to overwhelming words and phrases. Instead, you can use simple words and don’t distract the attention of readers from the main point by talking about something meaningless and useless. And of course, you must write the conclusion; without it, your essay won’t be considered complete. In this particular section, you should sum up the whole story and don’t forget to mention that you are writing it from your own point of view and have nothing to do with another person’s point of view. It will make your readers understand that the whole story is written from scratch and it’s ideas or concepts have not been copied from the web.
